i finally treated myself to some new lights — three of them to be exact. i thought they would all be way too big to use in my studio, but they’re perfect. i might have been able to buy a few bigger ones too. oh, well, i’ll have to save that for the next time i go on a shopping spree for lights.

January 5, 2010, 7 p.m., ASMP/Alaska’s “First Tuesday” Slide/Lecture Series presents a panel discussion, New Media for Photographers, in the auditorium of the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center.

Three Alaska photographers:

Jamie Lang,

Steve Nigl and

Oscar Avellaneda,

will show and tell how their use of social media has helped to promote their photography. Their presentations will be followed by a Q&A session open to the audience. The program is open to the public; admission is free.
